Penn State, Geisinger partner to expand neurosurgical care — 3 insights

Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health and Camp Hill, Pa.-based Geisinger Holy Spirit partnered to expand Geisinger's neurosurgical care offerings.

What you should know:

1. Penn State's neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers will provide both clinical and surgical care at Geisinger Holy Spirit, effective July 1.

2. Penn State Health neurosurgeon Diana Jho, MD, saw patients at Geisinger Holy Spirit for the last two years. On July 1, she will move her clinic at Penn State Health Medical Group-Camp Hill to a building adjacent to Geisinger Holy Spirit.

3. The two health systems had an existing partnership, which was established in 2017.

Geisinger Holy Spirit chief administrative officer Kyle Snyder said, "We are excited about having the Penn State Health neurosurgery team on site at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital and know that these providers and the patients we care for together will continue to have an excellent caring experience in our hospital."
