Neurosurgeon provides virtual, 2nd opinion surgery consultations: 5 details

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Spine clinic neurosurgeon Jeffrey Gross, MD, is offering comprehensive, second opinion virtual consultations for patients considering neurosurgery and spine surgery.

Five details:

1. Through Dr. Gross' clinic, new patients will receive a comprehensive evaluation via computer video conference or in-house.

2. Dr. Gross is offering consultations for various chronic spine conditions, including complex spinal and disc derangements, pinched nerves, brain and head injuries and back and neck pain.

3. "Patients are too often hurried out of most [physicians'] offices and given high surgery outcome expectations while overshadowing the risks of surgery," Dr. Gross said. "Your [physician] should be up-to-date on the latest minimally invasive and non-invasive technologies for treatment before turning to surgery."

4. Dr. Gross is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.

5. After earning his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., Dr. Gross completed his residences at UC Irvine and Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico.
