Spine Center Network, a company that provides report cards for regional spine centers, was recently launched in 16 states, according to a company news release.
Spine Center Network is focused on providing information for payors, employers and consumers about spine care providers. The company creates a list of "spine centers of excellence" that emphasize non-surgical treatment options before surgery. Additional compiled information include the following:
• Where staff include board-certified spine specialists with fellowship training
• Where centers include a team of non-surgical spine specialists board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation
• Annual clinical outcomes reporting
• Where each center measures in patient satisfaction
Spine Center Network was developed as a result of individual meetings with payors, employers and workers' compensation carriers to emphasize conservative care. The list includes providers in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, North Carolina, South Dakota and Texas.
