Here are seven spine and neurosurgeons making headlines:

Cincinnati-based The Jewish Hospital welcomed neurosurgeon Yair Gozal, MD, PhD, to its brain tumor cancer team.

Norberto Andaluz, MD, Dale Ding, MD, Emily Payne Sieg, MD, join University of Louisville (Ky.), neurosurgery department.

The North American Spine Society named Chukwuka Okafor, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, as one of the top 20 spine physicians 40 years old and younger.

Former neurosurgeon John Henry Schneider, MD, was sentenced to two years in federal prison after attempting to hide assets during bankruptcy proceedings. 

Kelly-Ann Patrice, MD, joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Troy, Mich.-based Jagannath Neurosurgical Institute neurosurgeon Jay Jagannathan, MD, will be featured on a 9&10 News segment, "the four."

Jahangir (John) Asghar, MD, joined the Cantor Spine Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
