Todd J. Albert, MD (Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City). Dr. Albert is an orthopedic spine surgeon and the president of the Scoliosis Research Society. He is the surgeon-in-chief and CMO of HSS, and serves as chairman of the orthopedic surgery department and an orthopedic surgery professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. Neel Anand, MD (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles). Dr. Anand serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery and director of spine trauma at Cedars-Sinai. He is a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery and a member of the Scoliosis Research Society. Dr. Anand underwent scoliosis and spine trauma fellowship training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Vincent Arlet, MD (Penn Medicine in Philadelphia). Dr. Arlet is the chief of orthopedic spine surgery at Penn Medicine who specializes in spinal deformity, including scoliosis. He has completed over 2,500 adult and pediatric spinal deformity procedures and is an active member of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Sigurd Berven, MD (UCSF Health Spine Center). Dr. Berven is an orthopedic spine surgeon and professor at UCSF Health who focuses on pediatric and adult spinal disorders. He is a director at large of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Laurel Blakemore, MD (University of Florida Health in Gainesville). Dr. Blakemore is the division chief of pediatric orthopedics at UF Health. Her practice focuses on scoliosis, complex spinal deformity and general pediatric orthopedics, and she serves as secretary elect for the Scoliosis Research Society. J. Abbott Byrd III, MD (Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists in Norfolk, Va.). Dr. Byrd is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists and the active treasurer of the Scoliosis Research Society. Dr. Byrd specializes in treating pediatric and adult patients with complex spine problems, including scoliosis. He holds several spinal implant device patents and developed Synergy Spinal Systems.

Christopher J. DeWald, MD (Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago). Dr. DeWald is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush whose research interests include fusionless scoliosis surgery. Dr. DeWald has completed international spine surgery fellowship training in Germany, France, England and Japan. In addition to scoliosis surgery, Dr. DeWald performs thoroscopic spine and adult spinal reconstruction.

Thomas Errico, MD (New York University Langone Health in New York City). Dr. Errico is chief of the division of spine surgery at NYU Langone Health and a professor of orthopedic and neurosurgery. Dr. Errico has served as president of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery and the North American Spine Society. He is involved in pediatric spine surgery research as part of the Harms Study Group, which is supported by the Setting Scoliosis Straight Foundation.

David S. Feldman, MD (The Paley Institute in West Palm Beach, Fla.). Dr. Feldman is an orthopedic spine surgeon and the director of spinal deformity and hip preservation at the Paley Institute. He previously served as the chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery at NYU Langone Health in New York City and focuses on treating spinal deformities such as scoliosis.

Lawrence Lenke, MD (Columbia University Medical Center in New York City). Dr. Lenke is a professor of orthopedic surgery at the ColumbiaUniversityMedicalCenter, the surgeon-in-chief at The Spine Hospital of at NewYork-Presbyterian in New York City and a leading expert in spine deformity surgery. Dr. Lenke developed the classification system for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and previously served as president of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Peter O. Newton, MD (Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego). Dr. Newton is the president elect of the Scoliosis Research Society, chief of the division of orthopedics and scoliosis at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and a clinical professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Newton primarily treats scoliosis and other spine conditions, and his research focuses on spine surgery, scoliosis without spinal fusion and orthopedic biomechanics. He previously served as president of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.

David W. Polly Jr., MD (University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis). Dr. Polly is a professor and chief of spine surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is widely recognized for his research on scoliosis. Dr. Polly is a past president of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Frank Schwab, MD (Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City). Dr. Schwab is the spine service chief at HSS. His practice focuses on complex spinal pathology, pediatric and adult spinal deformity, revision and reconstruction procedures. Dr. Schwab developed the first definitive classification of adult spinal deformity and is the research council chair of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Rajiv K. Sethi, MD (Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle). Dr. Sethi is an orthopedic spine surgeon and medical director of the Neuroscience Institute at Virginia Mason. A director at large of the Scoliosis Research Society, Dr. Sethi has expertise in complex spine and scoliosis surgery and is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Paul D. Sponseller, MD (Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore). Dr. Sponseller is the vice president of the Scoliosis Research Society and chief of the division of pediatric orthopedics at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore. He is a professor of orthopedic surgery and urology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He specializes in pediatric spine and orthopedic disorders.

Michael Vitale, MD (Columbia University Medical Center in New York City). Dr. Vitale is the chief of pediatric spine and scoliosis surgery at the Columbia University Medical Center and a professor of pediatric orthopedic surgery. He is the Chief Quality Officer of the orthopedic surgery department and specializes in non-operative and operative complex pediatric scoliosis treatment, performing about 200 scoliosis procedures annually, half of which are on children less than eight years of age. Dr. Vitale leads the Scoliosis Research Society's advocacy efforts to meet the unmet need for pediatric medical devices.

Stuart L. Weinstein, MD (University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City). Dr. Weinstein is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spinal deformities and hip problems. Dr. Weinstein is the past president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
