Implanet Q1 revenue dips 9%, US spinal sales up 16%
Implanet reported first quarter revenue dropped 9 percent over the same time last year, reaching nearly $2.5 million. Spine revenue dropped 2 percent to around $1.3 million while the knee and arthroscopy revenue dropped 17 percent to $1.1 million.

AAOS has spent $780k on the 2018 election cycle so far

Emory Healthcare, Walmart to partner for employees' spine, joint replacement surgery
Walmart will now include Atlanta-based Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital and Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center in its national spine surgery and joint replacement centers of excellence programs. The COE programs are designed for Walmart associates needing spine or joint care across the nation. These centers receive a fixed bundled payment for specific procedures.

Investigators sought a warrant to search the home of former Tulare Regional Medical Center CEO and Chairman Benny Benzeevi, MD, for documents and information related to his company, Tulare-based Healthcare Conglomerate and Associates, according to court documents cited by the Visalia Times Delta.
