Here are nine spine and neurosurgeons making headlines.

Michael Dorsi, MD, of Ventura (Calif.) Neurosurgery, was among the first group of neurosurgeons to use Camber Spine's Spira-C Open Matrix Cervical Interbody device.

 

Mark Dekutoski, MD, joined the Marshfield Clinic Eau Claire (Wis.) Center's orthopedic surgery department.

 

A Hamilton County judge ordered neurosurgeon Mario Zuccarello, MD, to stop practicing medicine within a 25-mile radius of Norwood, Ohio-based Mayfield Brain & Spine. Mayfield filed a lawsuit against former partner and vice chairman of the Mayfield board Dr. Zuccarello for allegedly violating a non-compete agreement.

 

Robert Hart, MD, of Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University published his findings on the relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and lumbar spinal fusion procedures in Spine.
