Here are five spine and neurosurgeons making headlines.

F. Todd Wetzel, MD, joined Bassett Healthcare Network as chief of orthopedics.

 

John Moseley, MD, a retired Billings, Mont.-based St. Vincent Healthcare neurosurgeon, and his wife donated $1 million to the hospital’s St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation.

 

Nathan Selden, MD, of Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, treated Amtrak derailment victims at the site of the incident.

 

Craig van Horne, MD, and his colleagues at Lexington-based University of Kentucky Brain Restoration Center, performed the first deep brain stimulation at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou

University in Henan, China.
