Neurosurgery dominates North American intraoperative neuromonitoring market, growing at 8.3% CAGR through 2022

The neurosurgery segment within the North American intraoperative neuromonitoring market will continue dominating through 2022, according to an Arizton Advisory & Intelligence analysis.

Here are four observations:


1. The neurosurgery segment is expected to grow at an 8.26 percent compound annual growth rate through 2022.


2. In 2016, the neural surgery sector captured more than 54 percent of the North American IONM market.


3. The growing popularity of IONM techniques for neural surgeries as well as the increasing number of neurological diseases among the population contribute to the neurosurgery segment's growth.


4. Analysts predict the number of brain and spinal cord tumors will grow within the next 10 years.
