Grant Skidmore, MD, of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Norfolk, Va., reported positive outcomes for Expanding Orthopedics' FLXfit 3D Expandable TLIF Cage.

Here are five observations:

1. Dr. Skidmore reported results from his 30-patient series.

2. The FLXfit features a large footprint cage intended for placement at the front of the disc space.

3. The cage expands lordotically in a "controlled manner to achieve a unique, anatomical fit, customized per patient," explained Dr. Skidmore.

4. Based on an analysis of his initial 30 patients, Dr. Skidmore supports the FLXfit's ability to restore lordosis and improve sagittal balance.

5. Dr. Skidmore completed his neurosurgery residency at Arkansas School for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
