Neel Anand, MD, and Vinod Agrawal, MD, co-founded the Indo-American Medical Research Charitable Trust.

The inaugural event will be held next week at Nanavati Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, focusing on the “Contemporary Solution of Lumbar Spine Disorders.” Dr. Anand is a clinical professor of surgery and director of spine trauma at Cedars-Sinai Spine Center in Los Angeles and Dr. Agrawal is an orthopedic surgeon in Mumbai.

 

The two-day event includes lectures, discussion and debates on the various techniques for lumbar spine pathology. The Indo-American Medical Research Charitable Trust is designed to enhance surgeon skills in orthopedic surgery with spine as a primary focus. The trust is a non-profit organization striving for:

 

• Surgical camps that provide free treatment to underprivileged and needy patients
• Live surgical workshops
• Interaction with experts from the United States and India
• Expert exchange programs
• Proctorship
• Fellowship opportunities for young surgeons
