Melville, N.Y.-based North American Partners in Anesthesia acquired ProCare Systems, according to MiBiz.

Here are five takeaways:

 

1. ProCare Systems is a management company for pain management medical practices.

 

2. Through the acquisition, NAPA can establish a pain division in Grand Rapid, Mich.

 

3. In 1994, Fred David, MD, and Mark Gostine, MD, founded ProCare with CEO Cyndy Walsh to manage their practice, Michigan Pain Consultants.

 

4. Ms. Walsh will stay on as CEO and Dr. David will serve as president and chief medical officer of the new organization.

 

5. Dr. Gostine will serve as senior vice president and secretary.
