FDA appoints neurosurgeon Dr. Christopher Loftus to advisory committee: 3 facts

Christopher Loftus, MD, of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. will serve on a Food and Drug Administration advisory committee, according to mySuburbanLife.com.

Here are three facts:

 

1. Dr. Loftus is also now an honorary citizen of Changzhou, China for establishing a medical education program connecting Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of medicine to the First People's Hospital of Changzhou.

 

2. He serves as treasurer for the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.

 

3. Honored as a Castle Connolly's Top Doctors, Dr. Loftus has written more than 600 pieces on his research.

 

4. Dr. Loftus received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in New York. He then completed a neurological surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center/Neurological Institute of New York.
