5 things to know about National Spine & Pain Centers' Inaugural Symposium: 'The Business of Pain Medicine'

National Spine & Pain Centers hosted a pain management conference titled "The Business of Pain Medicine: 21st Century Challenges & Solutions."

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Les Zuckerman, MD, Sanjay Bakshi, MD, and Sudhir Diwan, MD, presented on business and clinical topics significant to pain management at the conference.

 

2. More than 300 attendees, comprised of physicians and administrators, participated in the conference to hear presentations from over 30 speakers from several business disciplines.

 

3. NSPC's event is the first conference dedicated specifically to helping pain management practices succeed in the competitive healthcare marketplace.

 

4. Former Redskins quarterback and NFL "on air" commentator Joe Theismann was the keynote speaker. Mr. Theismann discussed the importance of leadership and commended physicians for providing compassionate care to patients who suffer from acute and chronic pain.

 

5. NSPC is a network of pain management practices with over 50 locations in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York and New Jersey.
