Here are 12 spine surgeons and neurosurgeons who were featured in the news this past week.

The Spine Foundation honored neurosurgeon Timothy Fullagar, MD, with the 2015 Hope Award.


Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis appointed Munish Gupta, MD, chief of spine surgery.


Texas Back Institute's Isador Lieberman, MD, performed a live surgical procedure using Mazor Robotics' Renaissance system at the Joint Congress of the Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society.


Rhode Island Hospital's Albert Telfeian, MD, performed the first case of extracting the tumor endoscopically under a local anesthetic while the patient was awake.


Spine surgeon Robert Watkins, MD, met with New York Mets captain David Wright after Mr. Wright was diagnosed with spinal stenosis earlier this year.
