Luiz Pimenta, MD, has been named the president of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery. George Rappard, MD, is serving as the principal investigator in a clinical trial of the Device for Intervertebral Assisted Motion, a minimally invasive alternative for back pain treatment.

The Journal of Neurosurgery has named Alexander R. Vaccaro, MD, PhD, co-chairman of its editorial board.

The recently opened ONE Brain & Spine Center in New Port Beach, Calif., will be lead by Todd Peters, MD, and Burak Ozgur, MD.

Eric Ritchie, MD, and Hongbo Liu, MD, will be among physicians leading the San Antonio Orthopaedic & Spine Institute's recently established children's ward.
