Minnesota lawmakers have proposed a grant for spinal cord and traumatic brain injury research, according to Minnesota Public Radio. Authored by Sen. Jeff Hayden (D-Minn.), the bill would funnel $4 million from state funds each year to a public research entity, according to the report.
The legislation is named Jablonski/Rodreick Spinal Cord and Traumatic Brain Injury Grant Program after two Minnesota teenagers who suffered from severe spinal cord injuries.
