Neurosurgeons at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., performed spine surgery on Tulane University safety Devon Walker. Mr. Walker fractured his spine during a football game against Tulsa University. Greg Stewart, MD, Tulane team physician and co-director of the Tulane's sports medicine program, said Mr. Walker is now stable and in recovery. Specialists will better understand his post-surgery condition after a few days.
