ISASS President Gunnar Andersson, MD, PhD, will vote on the organization’s behalf. “Today ISASS became a member of the AMA House of Delegates, this gives us a seat at the table of the organization that makes decisions at the [Current Procedural Terminology] and [Relative Value Scale Update] Committees,” said Dr. Andersson.
This significant milestone allows ISASS members and their patients the ability to engage in and improve CPT Category I and Category III criteria. The organization has released statements on policy and coverage changes, including the most recent changes for cervical artificial disc replacement and sacroiliac joint fusion.
