The document, which outlines information applicable to spine surgery and all common risks related to the procedure, was issued to 50 patients at an outpatient clinic. On the visual analogue scale, the patients rated the document 8.8 for “ease of understanding” and 8.9 for “usefulness.”
There were 43 patients who indicated the length of the document was “just right” and seven who felt it was too long.
