Dr. Alastra practices at HealthCare Associates in Medicine in Staten Island, N.Y., and is affiliated with Staten University Hospital and Richmond University Medical Center. A member of American Association of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Alastra is also affiliated with Congress of Neurological Surgery, World Federation of Neurological Surgeons, Society of Interventional Neurosurgery and North American Spine Society.
After receiving his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Dr. Alastra completed his neurosurgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. He then did an endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at New York University Medical Center in New York City.
