2. Dr. Andersson is chairman emeritus of the department of orthopedic surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

 

3. He has previously served as vice-chair of the International Advocates for Spine Patients as well as president of ISASS.

 

4. He has been a council member of the National Institutes of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases at NIH as well as chairman of the research committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

5. Dr. Andersson is a member of 15 editorial boards and serves as a deputy editor for Spine and editor-in-chief of Contemporary Spine Surgery.
