Medtech company Inspired Spine has tapped healthcare attorney Ross Matlack as its new CEO.
Mr. Matlack previously served as CEO of multiple hospitals, according to an April 1 news release from the company.
In addition, the company has partnered with Burnsville, Minn.-based Avicenna Technical University to launch an AI-based electronic medical record system.
The Smart Universal Resource Identifier was built by the company from scratch in an effort to address modern healthcare challenges that are not currently served by older EMRs, according to a separate April 1 news release from Inspired Spine.
SURI integrates medical billing, automated coding and medical documentation into one platform. It also aims to save medical practices money by eliminating the need for medical scribes, billing personnel and coders, Inspired Spine’s chief medical officer, Hamid Abbasi, MD, PhD, said in the release.
