Idaho high school students observe spine surgery — 3 observations

Idaho-based St. Maries High School students watched a live spinal surgery via video conference, according to St. Maries Gazette Record.

Here are three observations:

 

1. Twenty-eight anatomy students watched the surgery.

 

2. Summit, N.J.-based Overlook Medical Center surgeons performed the surgery.

 

3. Teachers wanted to expose the students to medical careers.
