1. Nearly one-third of Dr. Park’s patients leave the day of the procedure.
2. Many patients feel relieved they can recover at home, as opposed to a hospital.
3. Dr. Park recommends outpatient surgery for procedures taking 90 minutes or less.
4. “Age is not a factor,” Dr. Park said. “I have 20-year-old patients as well as 70-year-old patients who go home on the day of surgery.”
