3. Physicians utilize X-ray technology to place a probe through a small incision in the spinal tumor.
4. Microwave energy, harnessed through a steerable radio wave antenna, heats to tumor to 120 degrees, destroying the cells.
5. This procedure destroys the tumor, which could lead to the spine becoming unstable. Surgeons add the liquid cement to support the bone and fill the tumor bone.
