According to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi’s, Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss., has maintained its designation as a Blue Distinction+ Center of Excellence for knee, hip and spine surgery, the Hattiesburg American reports.

1. BCBS of Mississippi first named Forrest General a Blue Distinction+ Center of Excellence in 2013.

 

2. CareChex ranked Forrest General in the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide for patient safety and overall medical care.

 

3. Forrest General, Forrest Health System’s flagship hospital, is a 512-bed hospital that provides regional health services to a 19-county service area.
