Lumoptik’s BrightPoint epidural needle guidance system helps physicians  better perform epidurals.

Lumpotik will work with the Hospital for Special Surgery’s department of anesthesia and pain management.

“Using epidural anesthesia with patients who have musculoskeletal disease can be particularly challenging given the impact that arthritis and injury can have on the spine,” Michael Singleton, MD, an anesthesiologist at Hospital for Special Surgery, said in an Oct. 13 press release. “I am excited to see Lumoptik’s use of technology in an area that is ripe for modernization.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
