Holyoke (Mass.) Medical Center earned DNV’s Advanced Spine Surgery Certification, according to a Jan. 29 news release shared with Becker’s.

The certification affirms excellence in musculoskeletal spine and lower back treatment. Holyoke Medical Center’s spine program includes minimally invasive, inpatient and outpatient surgery.

Holyoke Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in the state to earn the DNV’s spine certification. Hospitals are assessed by requirements set by the ERAS Society Lumbar Spinal Fusion and Orthopaedic guidelines, the guidelines of the North American Spine Society, and relevant requirements of the CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
