Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital earns Joint Commission certification for spine surgery

Valencia, Calif.-based Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its spine surgery and joint replacement program, according to a SCV News report.

The hospital now has certification in four disease-specific areas — knee, shoulder, hip replacement and spine surgery. To earn its most recent certification, for spinal surgeries and joint replacements, the hospital underwent a rigorous on-site review, according to the report.
