Mr. Damron met with a neurosurgeon on Feb. 21 and was prepped for emergency surgery the next day.
He has been suffering from degenerative disc disease for 10 years, causing nerve pain, drop foot and severe inflammatory arthritis in the lumbar spine.
Due to the pain, the frontman has been unable to perform with the band. It will likely take him one year to fully recover, according to the report.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
