Group Physicians to See 3.7% Salary Increase, a Bump 1.5% Higher Than Hospital Physicians

Physicians of group-based practices can expect to see a 3.7 percent salary increase in 2014, while hospital-based physicians will likely see a 2.2 percent increase, according to the Hay Group‘s 2013 physician compensation survey.

 Other findings from the study include:

•    As an overall group, physicians can expect a 2.4 percent increase in salary next year.
•    63 percent of physicians have annual incentive plans this year, compared to 64 percent last year.
•    This year, 77 percent of annual incentive plans were related to patient satisfaction.
