The new orthopedic and spine center will include 31 private inpatient rooms, as the hospital anticipates a growth in the volume for its joint replacement center. The new facility will include sports medicine evaluations and treatment, intricate hand surgery, non-surgical treatment for musculoskeletal and neuromuscular problems and new technology for performing joint replacements.
The new facility will also add spine surgery to the list of procedures performed at Brunswick hospital. The renovations will require an upgrade in the hospital’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, humidity control and air condition quality control systems.
