The entities will work to promote postgraduate education for Armenian neurosurgeons and will provide opportunities for faculty, medical students and fellows at Georgia Neurosurgical Institute and Mercer University School of Medicine to visit and study in Armenia.

The program is an expansion of efforts begun in 2007 by GNI neurosurgeon Arthur A. Grigorian, MD, to train Armenian medical students, residents and physicians. In 2013, Dr. Grigorian received Armenia’s Presidential Award for his training work.
