Geisinger Names Dr. Robert Weil Northeast Region Chief Medical Executive

Robert J. Weil, MD, has been named chief medical executive for the northeast region and associate chief scientific officer of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System, according to a Times Leader report.

Dr. Weil has previously served as chief of neurosurgery at Nashville (Tenn.) VA Medical Center. He has also previously served as president of Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood, Ohio, and was a member of the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors.
