Dr. Slotkin has experience in complex spinal surgery, spinal cord injury, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal oncology surgery and brain tumor surgery. His particular interests include sports-related neurologic injuries.
During his career, Dr. Slotkin’s research has focused on regeneration and plasticity after spinal cord injury and nanotechnology initiatives for neurological disorders. He earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. His additional training includes a complex spinal surgery fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
