Dr. An, a spine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, treated Ellen Glass for spinal stenosis that left her without the ability to stand, walk or lie down comfortably. He performed successful spine surgery to restore Ms. Glass’ mobility.

Ms. Glass and her husband Philip Glass decided to make a donation to support Dr. An’s ongoing research into the use of stem cell therapy to reduce disc degeneration and restore function for patients who are diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. The gift will allow Dr. An and his team to accelerate their research pace.
