Mr. Panos pleaded guilty to wire fraud, healthcare fraud and aggravated identity theft in October 2020 for stealing a colleague’s identity and collecting $876,389.97 in payments for reviewing workers’ compensation patient files.
Mr. Panos surrendered his New York State medical license in 2013 after a prior healthcare fraud conviction, the Department of Justice said Nov. 30.
In addition to prison, Mr. Panos was sentenced to three eyars of supervissed release.
