The moves came shortly after SpineFrontier’s money laundering charges were dropped. The company’s founder, Kingsley Chin, MD, also settled with the U.S. Department of Justice in July over allegations that he violated the False Claims Act.
Charges against Dr. Chin and Aditya Humad, co-founder of KIC Ventures, were narrowed.
Dr. Chin and his new firm, KIC Ventures, have since implemented compliance measures to identify and mitigate risks, the release said. Dr. Chin’s SpineFrontier develops Less Exposure Spine Surgery technologies.
