The American Association of Neurological Surgeons appointed Shelly Timmons, MD, as president.

Syracuse, N.Y.-based Crouse Hospital surgeon Eric Deshaies, MD, is leaving the hospital to direct a brain and spine program in Charlotte, N.C.

P. Richard Emmanuel, MD, a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Orthopedic & Spine Institute of Los Angeles, has been named a 2018 Top Doctor in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Todd H. Lanman, MD, as one of the 2018 “Leaders in Health Care.”

Castle Connolly named Kapil Moza, MD, a Top Doctor of 2018. The spine surgeon also received the Super Doctors Award for the third year in a row.

The International Association of HealthCare Professionals welcomed neurosurgeon Michael A. Thomas, DO, with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World.
