Aaron K. Calodney, MD, of Tyler, Texas-based Precision Spine Care, is the new president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Mayo Clinic appointed Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, MD, the William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professor and neurological surgery chair.

The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery named Hee Kit Wong, MD, PhD, of the National University of Singapore, president.

 

The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery named Domagoj Coric, MD, of Charlotte-based Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates, to its board of directors.

 

The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery presented awards at its 16th annual meeting in Las Vegas:

 

Jeffrey Spivak, MD, of New York University, received The ISASS Leon Wiltse Award for Best Overall Paper.
Sudarshan Pramod, MBBS, MS, of Chennai, India-based Apollo Hospital, won The Charles D. Ray Award for Best Clinical Paper.
Matthew Scott-Young, MBBS, FRACS, FAOrthA, of Southport, Queensland, Australia-based Gold Coast Spine, received the Kostuik Innovation Award.
