Zachary Bailey, MD, performed South Carolina’s first spine surgery combining ExcelsiusHub navigation and Excelsius3D imaging.
Dr. Bailey performed the case at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, according to a Sept. 2 news release shared with Becker’s. The ExcelsiusHub was used to assist with spine implant placement, and Excelsius3D was used for real-time imaging.
“Incorporating new technology isn’t just about innovation, it’s about precision, safety and giving my patients the best possible outcomes,” Dr. Bailey said in the release. “This advancement is a step toward faster recovery and a better quality of life for those we serve.”
