Dr. Vernon T. Tolo of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Receives American Academy of Pediatrics Award

The American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Orthopedics named Vernon T. Tolo, MD, of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles the winner of the Distinguished Service Award, according to a Benzinga news report.

Dr. Tolo serves as chief emeritus of the hospital’s children’s Orthopedic Center and has a professional interest in treating patients with spinal deformity, cerebral palsy, skeletal dysplasia and hip disorders. Dr. Tolo received the distinction for his participation in patient care, research and teaching.

Dr. Tolo earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
