Dr. Tom Reinsel brings spine surgery to Marshall Orthopaedics: 4 takeaways

Huntington, W. Va.-based Marshall Health welcomed spine surgeon Tom Reinsel, MD, according to Huntington News.

1. Along with his clinical work, Dr. Reinsel will serve as a professor at the Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He previously served as a professor at Columbus-based Ohio State University.

 

2. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Reinsel specializes in minimally invasive surgery, spinal cord injuries and scoliosis as well as lumbar and cervical disc conditions.

 

3. Dr. Reinsel underwent fellowship training in spine surgery at Chicago-based Rush Medical Center and the University of Vermont in Burlington.

 

4. After earning his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Reinsel completed his residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
