Dr. Smithason focuses on brain tumor surgeries, strokes, surgery for hydrocephalus and minimally invasive spine surgery.
He joined Southeastern Health in 2013 and has completed three fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic — a research fellowship, clinical fellowship and clinical fellowship in epilepsy surgery.
Dr. Smithason also sees patients at Southeastern Neurological Center in Lumberton.
