Dr. Saeed Bajwa receives endoscopic spine surgery certification: 5 things to know

Saeed Bajwa, MD, a New York-based neurosurgeon, received endoscopic spine surgery certification.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Bajwa:

 

1. He practices at the Southern New York NeuroSurgical Group and earned his certification through a Maryland-based program at American Spine.

 

2. Dr. Bajwa will now perform minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgeries in the lumbar and thoracic spine to relieve back pain. He earned the certification in August 2015 and has already performed several successful surgeries.

 

3. Dr. Bajwa is a CyberKnife trained surgeon with a special interest in brain and spine surgery.

 

4. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bajwa swerves on the boards for several local service organizations to provide care for people who require neurological treatment. He also volunteers for educational and medical initiatives in Pakistan.

 

5. Beyond endoscopic procedures, Dr. Bajwa also uses the Mazor Robotic spine surgery for robotic guidance during procedures.
