Dr. Robert Watkins to perform spine surgery on Bengals’ Tyler Eifert: 4 things to know

Robert Watkins, MD, will perform spine surgery on Cincinnati Bengals’ player Tyler Eifert, according to Cincinnati.com.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. This will be the tight end’s third back surgery.

 

2. Dr. Watkins treats patients at Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.

 

3. He also serves as the co-director of the Marina del Ray-Calif.-based Marina Spine Center and surgery department chairman at Los Angles-based Marina Del Rey Hospital.

 

4. Recovery is expected to take four months to six months.
