Dr. Watkins is the spine surgeon for three professional Los Angeles teams: the MLB’s Dodgers, the NBA’s Clippers and the NFL’s Rams, according to a Dec. 2 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report.
Mr. Lopez’s only prior reported back injuries were before his freshman season at Stanford, when he had surgery for a bulging disc September 2006, the Journal Sentinel reported. He has been off the court with his most recent back injury since Oct. 19.
Bucks team physician William Raasch, MD, oversaw the procedure.
