Here’s what you need to know.
1. While Dr. Watkins did not deem neck surgery necessary for the tight end, he did recommend Mr. Wolfe sit out the remainder of the season.
2. Dr. Watkins diagnosed Mr. Wolfe with a form of spinal stenosis and multiple sprained joints in his neck. Mr. Wolfe’s neck and right elbow also have significant nerve damage.
3. It is expected the Broncos will place Mr. Wolfe on the injured reserve list, ending his season with four games remaining.
4. Dr. Watkins notably performed neck surgeries to extend the careers of Peyton Manning and John Lynch.
