Dr. Robert Harbaugh becomes president-elect of the Society of Neurological Surgeons

Robert E. Harbaugh, MD, FAANS, has been named president-elect of the Society of Neurological Surgeons, according to a Lebanon Daily News report.

Dr. Harbaug his professor and chair of the Penn State Hershey (Pa.) Department of Neurosurgery and director of the Penn State Hershey Neuroscience Institute. Earlier this year, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons named Dr. Harbaugh president. He also serves as vice-chair of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, according to the report.
